Strawberries

I grow ‘Camarosa’. Clipped off some of the extra leaves on the weekend and found literally hundreds of flowers! They don’t last long in our house. Our three primary school kids gobble them up pretty quickly. Deanna Sharp-Hillyard, Auckland I’ve got strawberries in a pallet. Scored it free and just put some bottoms on each shelf and lined with weed mat. Great success. Haven’t noticed any bugs climbing up the pallet and it keeps the berries off the ground. I put two hoops (made from old hula hoops cut in half) in each container, crossed over one another, and put netting over the top to keep the birds out. It’s very effective.
