Round ‘Tondo Chiaro di Nizza’ ( from Italian Seeds Pronto) is a vigorous plant that hails from the 1800s. Its light green spherical fruit is picked when the size of a tennis ball. This ball shape makes it ideal for stuffing or baking. I staked my zucchini last year. There’s definitely no going back. It’s so much tidier and easier to not miss any. I start when the plant is really small and use a strong stake. It can be a bit tricky. Check frequently and cut off the bottom leaves under fruit. Jo Kempster, Warea
