Radish

Radishes do not improve with age, and most complaints about their poor performance in summer can be traced back to too much heat, not enough water or over-maturity. Pick when young to avoid dry flesh. Radishes are one of only a few types of vege that grow all year round, plus you can eat both the root and the greens.
