Kūmara

If you are short of space, try growing kūmara in a large hanging basket. The trailing foliage is attractive, but the plants will need more attention (watering and feeding) than those grown in the ground and they aren’t as productive. Barbara Smith Last year I used a clamshell pool with drainage holes drilled in the bottom, and a combination of vegetable mix and top soil to grow kūmara and got more than expected!
